Lisa Beaumont School of Ballet

WELCOME

Established in 1997, we are a very friendly and successful school tucked away in the lovely village of Cliddesden, near Basingstoke, Hampshire. We have ballet classes available for all ages from toddlers to adults, and tap and modern lessons for students age 6 years and upwards. We offer RAD ballet and ISTD tap and modern examinations and every student has the opportunity to perform in our biennial charity shows.

The majority of classes take place at Cliddesden Millennium Village Hall, Church Lane, Cliddesden RG25 2JQ, with weekend classes taking place at Dummer Village Hall, Up Street Dummer, RG25 2AK.

Lisa started dancing at the age of 3 and trained at both her mother’s dancing school; The Diane Beaumont School of Dancing and the North Cheshire Theatre School in her hometown of Manchester. She excelled through her examinations in ballet tap and modern and also loved to perform on stage in countless productions at every opportunity. As a mature student, Lisa attended classes at The Royal Academy of Dance in London where she attained her Advanced 2 Ballet Examination at the grand old age of 32!

Lisa first qualified as a tap teacher in 1990, at the age of 18; passing her Associate Examination of the National Association of Teacher’s of Dancing with Distinction. This achievement was to set the scene for her passion to teach. In 1996 she attained Registered Teacher Status of the Royal Academy of Dance and in the early 2000’s she attained the Diploma in Dance Education in both Modern Theatre and Tap with the Imperial Society of Teacher’s of Dancing.

Lisa consistently strives to nurture each and every student; believing that passion, a positive work ethic and determination to be the greatest gifts of all.

Lisa is also a certified instructor for Progressing Ballet Technique and holds the First Response in Emergency Care Level 4 Certificate.

Miss Debbie has been with our school in Cliddesden since we opened the doors in 2005. She is adored by everyone and is renowned for her calm and caring attitude to students and parents alike. As an accomplished dancer, Debbie holds the Grade 8 and Intermediate Certificates of the Royal Academy of Dance and continues to enjoy several dancing lessons a week. Miss Debbie always performs in our school shows and continues to be instrumental in assisting Miss Beaumont in weekly classes, examinations and show production. As an accomplished dressmaker, Miss Debbie has also made countless fabulous costumes for many of our shows, so there is literally no end to her talents!
